Prime junk in Warframe: buying and selling parts in bulk
Anyone who opens enough relics ends up with dozens of parts that are worth almost nothing on the market. Selling them one by one is slow. Selling them as a lot to someone who saves ducats is fast, and it is a market of its own with its own prices.

What prime junk is
Prime junk is prime parts that sell for next to nothing on warframe.market, one to three platinum, but give plenty of ducats at the kiosk. Nobody wants the item itself; people saving ducats for Baro Ki'Teer want what it turns into.
So junk is not traded like a normal item. It is traded by weight: the buyer does not care which part it is, only how many ducats it gives. The price is set per part by its ducat value, not by its name.
How to price a part
A junk buyer thinks in a rate: how many ducats one platinum gets them. That gives a simple formula: price per part = the part's ducats / rate.

Check that a part really is junk. A 45-ducat silver sometimes sells for 15p or more, and letting it go at junk price gives the difference away.
How junk is traded in chat
Junk is usually bought and sold in the game's trade chat, one message for the whole lot. Buyers post which parts they take and at what price, sellers reply in whispers.
- Buying: post what you pay per part at each ducat value, for example for 45 and for 100. The simpler the message, the faster people reply.
- Selling: list how many parts of each ducat value you have and the price per part. Work out the total before you meet.
- Deal made: meet at the trading post in Maroo's Bazaar or a clan dojo and use the trade window.
Agree on the count before meeting. A trade holds six items per side, so a lot of twenty parts takes several trades.
Trade limits worth remembering
Bulk trading runs into the trade rules quickly. There are three, and all of them decide whether a deal is worth it.

The tax is easy to forget. Six gold parts in one trade is 48,000 credits of tax. If you buy junk for ducats, keep credits too: every Baro item costs ducats and credits at the same time.
Who it pays for
- The seller with junk piling up from relics. A little platinum for the lot beats keeping it in the inventory.
- The buyer who regularly spends ducats at Baro on things that resell for more. For them junk is raw material.
- Nobody, if the rate is worse than trading your own parts in at the kiosk. Compare before you buy.
