Ducats and Baro Ki'Teer: what to trade in and what to sell for platinum

Earning · 3 min read · Updated

A prime part can be sold to a player for platinum or traded in at a kiosk for ducats. The second is not always the better deal, and the difference is easy to work out once you know two numbers: the ducats a part gives and the platinum it sells for.

Prices in this guide are as of September 12, 2026. They are recalculated twice a day, but the market moves faster, so check the current price on warframe.market before you trade.

What ducats are and where they come from

Orokin Ducats are the currency of Baro Ki'Teer, the Void Trader. There is one way to get them: trade prime parts in at a Ducat Kiosk on any relay. The part is gone and the ducats arrive instead.

Ducats cannot be traded to other players and cannot be bought for platinum. They are only spent at Baro, so saving them makes sense when Baro sells something you want or something that resells well.

How many ducats a part gives

The number depends on the rarity the part has in its relic. A blueprint is worth the same as the part it crafts.

When Baro Ki'Teer arrives

Baro comes every two weeks and stays up to 48 hours. He appears on one of the relays, and the timer on any Ducat Kiosk shows where and when. He charges ducats and credits together: every item has both prices.

What he brings is not known in advance and changes every visit. The site keeps a log of his visits, 311 of them so far, which shows how often a given item comes back. His next arrival and the market price of everything he sells are on the Baro Ki'Teer page.

Ducats per platinum

To see which is better, divide the ducats by the part's price. A 45-ducat part that sells for 3p gives 15 ducats per platinum. A 45-ducat part that sells for 25p gives less than two.

  • Trade in parts with a high rate: lots of ducats, little platinum. Usually silvers and golds nobody wants.
  • Sell to players anything with a low rate. Trading in an expensive part for ducats is throwing platinum away.
  • Buy up cheap parts with high ducat values if you plan to spend ducats at Baro. That is what «prime junk» trading is.

The best rate on the market right now is 45 ducats per platinum. Which parts give it, and what to offer for junk in bulk, is recalculated daily in the Ducanator.

Check the price before you trade a part in. A 100-ducat gold part sometimes sells for 30p or more, and then the kiosk is a loss.

What to spend ducats on

The most popular Baro purchases are primed mods and cosmetics that resell for platinum. Before spending, check two things: what the item sells for and how many ducats it costs. The Baro Ki'Teer page works out how much platinum a hundred ducats turn into for everything he sells.

Not everything Baro brings can be resold. Some items are untradeable, and ducats spent on them only go into your collection.

Ducats in Orikon

The Ducanator tab shows ducats per platinum for every prime part and helps put together a chat offer: how many parts of which rarity and at what price.

On the reward screen the ducat value sits next to the price, so «take it for the ducats» is decided on the spot.

Common questions

How many ducats does a prime part give?

15 for bronze, 45 for silver, 100 for gold. Some parts that returned from the vault give 25 or 65. A blueprint is worth the same as its part.

How often does Baro Ki'Teer come?

Every two weeks, for up to 48 hours. The Ducat Kiosk timer shows the time and relay.

Can ducats be traded to other players?

No. Ducats are untradeable and can only be spent at Baro.

Is it better to trade a part in for ducats or sell it?

Divide the ducats by the part's platinum price. If you get many ducats per platinum, trade it in. If the part is expensive, sell it.

What is best to buy from Baro?

Whatever resells well or whatever you need yourself. Before spending, compare the item's market price with its ducat cost.
